Before
After
Look and Feel Younger
No one wants to be without their teeth. Whether it be a single tooth, multiple teeth, or all your teeth, they can be replaced thanks to modern advances in dental implants.
Careful planning and execution of the placement of your dental implants makes all the difference in getting the outcome you desire.
The first step is the planning phase. During this process we take the appropriate images of the bone in you mouth to determine if there is adequate bone to place the implants right away. If there is not sufficient bone, all is not lost because there are medical advances that have been made to be able to place adequate bone back in the area. We also see how much space we have to work with, the size and the length of the implant that needs to be placed and the correct angulation it should be placed at.
The second phase of dental implants is the placement of the implant. During this phase we precision place the implant, then let it rest. In some cases a crown can be placed on the implant right away, but if the tooth is in the back of the mouth it is often best to let the implant rest. A lot of people may think that this sounds like it hurts. In reality, dental implant placement is a less painful process than tooth removal.
After the implant is placed, a 3-6 month break is taken to let everything heal and the bone to grow around and into the implant. It may seem like a long time to wait, but as the saying goes “good things come to those who wait.”
After the healing is complete and verified, a crown is attached to your dental implant. This can be done in our office with our modern 3D crown machine the same day. If the crown needs to be exactly matched to the neighboring teeth or has special circumstances, then it can be sent to a dental lab for final fabrication. Lastly, the crown is simply attached and you have your tooth back.
